Twenty-something, sweet and sour idealist, crazy in love, suffers from lack-of-chocolate-headaches and can’t stand when her hands feel dirty. She writes love letters (from all sorts of angles…freaky, I know!) and refuses to apologise for her snobbiness*, femininity or appreciation for all things high art. College senior {PoliSci} with a heart that doesn’t pay attention to one thing for too long, but it is learning…and collecting. And has recently collected some lovely things. Read on for more!
*not really, I’m just very particular.

Random About Me’s:
I:
often smell like Chloé Narcissa behind my left ear and Yves Saint Laurent Paris behind my right;
hate underwear, lingerie and nightgowns, but I like socks;
conduct my orchestra, paint my mountain range, seduce and punish, and live life with (not through) my pen;
think that everyone should work with people with disabilities at least once;
speak French in my head…I know I speak it incorrectly most of the time, but I sound so pretty that I don’t care;
LOVE stationery…I love paper. I hoard paper. And empty journals;
sing Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose” ALL the time;
will spend some serious money on good ORGANIC food; {totally an advocate for the organic movement!}
excessively employ the use of unnecessary adjectives without remorse, know the difference between “lay” and “lie”, and gauge a person’s worth through his utilization of proper grammar;
don’t ever wear make-up, but I love how pretty all the cases look on my dresser;
would make a good man…but I am a better woman;
have a natural inclination to write really long sentences;
like quotes; for instance, I love this one by Maya Angelou: “I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way (s)he handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.” A rainy day requires something warm to soothe the insides {tea, soup or Mexican hot chocolate}; lost luggage demands patience, an extra outfit in your carry on and a list of airline demands; tangled Christmas tree lights immediately get tossed because they’re coated with a lead mixture and while they’re just beautiful, not worth the poison.
and finally, I named myself: Ruth Rhytswell [say it out loud: writes well]. x!
